Best Breakfast at Disney World: 12 Amazing Spots in Every Park With Bonus Resort Options

Are you planning a trip to Disney World but struggling to choose the best restaurants for every meal? Disney World is such a fun vacation destination, but not all Disney World breakfast restaurants are created equally, and it can be so difficult to decide where to eat for each meal. In this post, I’ll cover options for the best breakfast at Disney World to help you narrow down your choices.

I’ll be breaking down the best breakfast at Disney World park by park to help you plan out your days. Each park has a variety of excellent options for breakfast. I’ll also cover some of the best resort breakfast options!

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Magic Kingdom

Picture this: you’ve arrived at Magic Kingdom at rope drop and have already been on one or two rides, but now you’re hungry and need to find food! Where can you find the best breakfast in Magic Kingdom?

Sleepy Hollow

Best Breakfast at Disney World - the fruit waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom

This is located in the Adventureland area and has the best waffle breakfasts in Magic Kingdom. This used to be the home of the famous fruit waffle sandwich, but unfortunately, they no longer serve that. They do, however, still offer a couple of other amazing waffle options if you’re craving some Mickey waffles. They have a chicken and waffles dish and a waffle with fruit, a chocolate-hazelnut spread, and whipped cream, so they have both sweet and savory covered! This is the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast.

Gaston’s Tavern

Gaston’s Tavern is located in the Fantasyland area and offers up bakery-style food and beverages. They have these giant cinnamon rolls that are so good and would be perfect if you’re craving a sweet breakfast. The size of the cinnamon roll also makes it perfect for sharing! They also have a couple of other pastry options that would make good breakfasts, to get something quick so you can move on to the next ride.

The Crystal Palace

This is the place to go if you’re looking for the best sit-down or character breakfast at Magic Kingdom. Winnie the Pooh and friends are the stars of this Disney character dining breakfast. They have a huge breakfast buffet filled with all of the breakfast classics. This is not great if you’re looking for something quick, but it is wonderful for Winnie the Pooh fans or if you are just looking to have a nice sit-down breakfast and take your time.

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Epcot

When you think of food at Epcot, a lot of times you’re thinking about festival food or drinking around the world. Epcot has so many good food options for lunch, dinner, and snacks, but I will admit breakfast is a weaker point for Epcot

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Best Breakfast at Disney World - a pastry from Les Halles in Epcot

I could eat here for every meal of the day at Epcot. It’s just that good. Of course, then I wouldn’t be able to eat all of the other delicious food at Epcot. Since there aren’t many breakfast options, grabbing a pastry from Les Halles is a pretty good bet for breakfast at Epcot. They don’t have a separate breakfast menu, but they do still serve their pastries in the morning. You’ll be able to find something more substantial for lunch, and in the meantime, you can’t go wrong with any of the pastries here.

Les Halles is a quick-service restaurant located in the France pavilion. If you are entering the park by skyliner, this would be a great first stop. It would also be a good stop after riding the Ratatouille ride.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

This family-style Disney character dining experience is located in the Norway pavilion and is the perfect breakfast at Epcot for Disney Princess fans. It has a medieval castle theme and is the best option for character dining at Epcot for breakfast.

Connections Cafe

Yes, this is just a Starbucks in disguise, but it’s relatively quick, has plenty of options for your morning coffee, and has more breakfast options than most of the quick service places at Epcot. I did say breakfast was one of Epcot’s weaker points. The location is also conveniently close to Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and makes for a perfect stop when you get off the ride.

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has a surprising variety of interesting breakfast options. Most of these are quick service, but they do also have a character dining experience.

Ronto Roasters

Best Breakfast at Disney World - a Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters at Hollywood Studios

This is my personal favorite breakfast at Hollywood Studios. A Ronto Morning Wrap is the perfect way to start the day after rope-dropping Rise of the Resistance. I love pairing this with the Cold Brew Black Caf from Kat Saka’s Kettle around the corner to get my caffeine fix.

Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box has great lunches, but they also have one of the best breakfasts at Hollywood Studios! They have a breakfast version of their totchos that is equally great and has a tater tot base topped with country gravy and scrambled eggs. They also serve their lunchbox tarts at breakfast time if you’re craving something sweet.

Hollywood & Vine

This Disney character dining breakfast is for the younger kids who are fans of Disney Junior shows. It is a buffet-style breakfast and features Disney Junior characters. This is a sit-down meal, so it won’t be quick, but if you’re looking for a character breakfast at Hollywood Studios, this is the one. This is a great option for families with younger kids who want to slow down for a bit and meet some characters.

Best Breakfast at Disney World: Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom has some surprisingly great breakfast options, including one of my favorites across all of the parks.

Satu’li Canteen

Best Breakfast at Disney World - Slow-Roasted Pork Shoulder Potato Hash from Satu'li Canteen at Animal Kingdom

Satu’li Canteen is located in the Pandora area and has an excellent breakfast menu. The cinnamon French toast and slow-roasted pork shoulder potato hash are both excellent options, with my favorite being the potato hash. This is, in my opinion, one of the best quick-service breakfasts at all of the parks and is an excellent choice for breakfast at Animal Kingdom after riding Avatar Flight of Passage early in the day.

Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery

This is located in the Africa area of Animal Kingdom. They serve a variety of breakfast pastries as well as a few savory options, including breakfast totchos and an egg and bacon croissant sandwich. This is a great and unique breakfast stop if you’re looking for something quick for breakfast at Animal Kingdom.

Tusker House

This buffet-style Disney character dining breakfast features Donald Duck and friends and is located in the Africa area at Animal Kingdom. It has a safari theme and features classic American breakfast foods, as well as African-inspired options. They also have Simba waffles here, along with the Mickey waffles! This is one of the better character breakfasts in the parks.

Best Disney World Breakfast Restaurants at the Resorts

While the parks have a lot of great breakfast options, some of the best breakfast at Disney World can be found at the resorts, including both quick service, buffet, and Disney character dining options.

Kona Cafe (Polynesian Village Resort)

Hawaii has a special place in my heart, so being able to get Hawaiian-style breakfasts at a quick service restaurant at Disney World is going to rank high on my list, but it is also just one of the best quick service breakfasts at a Disney resort. They serve Hawaiian favorites like Loco Moco and Macadamia Nut pancakes, and they have a Kona coffee blend.

Boma – Flavors of Africa (Animal Kingdom Lodge)

Boma has an excellent resort breakfast buffet that is as unique as it is delicious. They have typical American breakfast food but also African-inspired options, making this a unique Disney dining experience and one of the best resort buffets.

Chef Mickey’s (Contemporary Resort)

You can’t talk about Disney resort breakfasts without talking about Chef Mickey’s. Chef Mickey’s is a classic for a reason and is often thought of as the best character breakfast at Disney World. This buffet-style character breakfast features Mickey and friends and, of course, plenty of Mickey waffles. This is a great addition to any trip and one of the best breakfasts at Disney World.

This is by no means a comprehensive list of all breakfast options, but these are, in my opinion, the best breakfast at Disney World at each park and a few resorts. Be sure to add these to your list for your next trip! If you are looking for more Disney World dining inspiration, be sure to check out my post about the best quick-service restaurants.
